Beyond the Mix and Samara of Lilys House of Braids are really excited to be collaborating on a brand new identity event - Healing Hair. So many of us have a love/hate relationship with our hair and we want participants to come away having a greater understanding of their hair type, how to manage it, and the history behind afro hair.

The evening will include:

My name is Samara I am an afro hair specialist with over 9 years of experience in the afro hair care field . My story began at 13 years old when I realised that there wasn’t a sufficient amount of stylists who were able to braid my hair without causing pain or permanent damage to my already fragile coils.

In 2021 I created Lily’s house of braids, which is a mobile braiding service that enables customers to have their hair braided in the luxury of their own home .

My business has grown rapidly in the last two years and I now visit over 220 homes a year all around the UK. Being mobile braider means I am able to carry out styles that my clients love whilst devoting time to helping them understand their curls and coils!
