Code of Conduct

Beyond the Mix is inclusive and open to all mixes and all women. We welcome women from the queer, non-binary and trans community, creating a non judgemental environment for people to be open, feel understood and connect. We welcome families of any mixed heritage make up.

We are committed to providing a friendly and welcoming environment for all, regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or religion.

We invite all of our facilitators, venues and participants to help us make Beyond the Mix a safe and positive experience for everyone.

We can connect through the experience of having multiple heritages but we all bring our own personal life experiences to the spaces we share.

With this in mind we ask that you:

- Be considerate and respectful to yourself, to others, to the environment around you.

- Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior and language.

- Be mindful of your surroundings and of your fellow attendees.

There is no place for:

- Offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, disability - or anything else relating to a person's own life experience

deliberate intimidation

- Inappropriate physical contact

This is a learning and developmental space, so please don’t be afraid to ask difficult questions. Sometimes we won't have all of the answers, but we will seek them out whererever possible.

Due to the personal nature of some of our courses, it is so important that we are all able to listen to and be respectful to everyone in the room and maintain confidentiality at all times.
