Navigating a cultural blend of Jamaican and English influences, I embraced the richness of diversity while facing the occasional challenges that come with being part of a minority. From family traditions rooted in heritage to forging my own path, my journey embodies the dynamic interplay between identity and resilience. My diverse background, shaped by Jamaican and English influences, sparked my passion for celebrating individuality. Growing up with textured hair myself, I understood the importance of embracing natural curls. This personal journey, coupled with my cultural blend, fueled my desire to specialize in curly hair. It became more than a profession; it's a mission to empower others to love and flaunt their unique curls, embracing the beauty of diversity in every strand.

Having a mixed Somali daughter named Zia has brought a beautiful new dimension to my life. Navigating the intricacies of her heritage has deepened my understanding of cultural diversity. Parenthood has become a cultural exchange, blending Jamaican, English, and Somali traditions. It's an enriching journey of learning, love, and fostering a sense of identity that bridges continents.
